It does have a cooling effect but I wouldn’t say it eliminated puffiness under my eyes and the moisture it provides is very light and I do require more heavier moisture in this area. It wears well under makeup and easily eliminates troublesome flaky areas on my cheeks by providing spot treatment moisture. Wet n Wild’s version is fragrance-free and provides very lightweight moisture without being sticky, tacky, or dewy. Granted it’s not ideal to use over makeup but if you’re wearing minimal makeup it’ll work a treat! You can even whip it on a plane and hydrate a bit before touch down. It’s an easy swipe and gently pat to absorb which makes it mess-free. You can take them over to your boyfriend’s if you’re spending the night, tuck one in your desk drawer, or take it on a plane with you (no messy liquids or worrying about the size of the bottle!). The joy in products like this are the fact they are so easy to travel with.

It provides very lightweight moisture but enough to prep for makeup if you have drier skin so, you can in fact use as a facial primer if you’d like to. It’s also a nice way to prep for lightweight makeup as well! I travel a lot and I try really hard to keep it light when I do and this is a nice way to just take some moisture on the road with me. It’s a cooling, hydrating balm that can be used anywhere on your face including under your eyes as it contains caffeine to help with puffiness. Wet n Wild’s version is a chunky little 0.35 oz swivel up balm that’s the exact same blue as Milk Makeup’s version.
However, the two products do not have the same ingredients. If you can’t really see yourself dishing out $24 for Milk’s version or just love a good budget option you’ll likely love Wet n Wild’s Focus Hydrating Stick. I think sticks like this can be cute but most importantly they are great for travel! Not to mention Wet n Wild Photo Focus Hydrating Stick is an obvious nod at Milk Makeup’s Cooling Water which is much more expensive. I’ve reviewed quite a few in the past like the recent Physicians Formula Refreshmint Cooling Stick as well as older ones like Hard Candy Sheer Envy Coconut Primer Stick, Etude House Dumbo Moistfull Collagen Facial Stick, Tony Moly Panda�s Dream So Cool Eye Stick, etc….!
